They Sign Your Box
Every Carved piece is cut, poured and finished by hand in a small shop in Elkhart, Indiana. Before yours ships, a real person writes a thank you on the packing slip and signs it. More than one review mentions the smiley face.
Shop the cases from ElkhartYour order goes to a workshop, not a warehouse.
Most of the boxes that land on your porch come from buildings nobody could point to on a map. A Carved order comes from a small shop in Elkhart, Indiana, where the same people who cut the wood and pour the resin also pack the orders. That’s Kara at the pour station in the photo.
A Galaxy S22 owner once spelled out the whole arrangement in one review: "These cases are made by actual people. I know that sounds goofy but every day, these people get up, cut up some wood, get some resin mixed in with the wood, and these lovely and wonderful cases are the end product."
It does sound goofy, written out like that. It is also, word for word, how this place works. The last thing that touches your order before the box closes is a pen.

What happens between your click and your doorbell
Five steps, one small shop in Elkhart, Indiana.

Cut
Real wood is cut into blanks by hand. The grain that ends up in your hand exists nowhere else.

Poured
An artist mixes the resin and pours it over the wood, one swirl at a time. No two pours land the same way.

Cured
The trays cure under pressure until the resin is solid and clear.

Finished
Each piece is sanded and polished by hand until the surface runs smooth from wood to resin.
Signed and packed
A thank you goes on your packing slip, signed by hand, and the piece is packed in a reusable Braverly bag. One reviewer noticed: "Appreciate the signature with a smiley face on packing slip."

A thank you, by hand
Before the box closes, somebody in the shop writes a thank you on your packing slip and signs it. Reviewers mention it constantly. "I was also pleasantly surprised by a personalized thank you note on my order slip. I didn't feel like just another customer, I felt like a valued customer."
The Braverly bag
Your piece ships inside a reusable Braverly bag, and the bag has its own fan club in the reviews: "I also love the story behind the Braverly bags that everything gets shipped in so I appreciate the ethical concepts these people seem to live by..."

This is my 4th Carved phone case. I've loved every one (obviously). Well made, excellent protection for my phone and made in Indiana by a small business. Well done, Carved!
Case looks great! Got for iPhone 16 Pro. I love the design and it’s really light. Someone wrote thank you with a smiley face on the little sticker receipt :), and the bag was a pleasant surprise
Love the quality and uniqueness! Proud to support the company as a fellow Hoosier.

About the shop and the box
Where are Carved pieces actually made?
In Elkhart, Indiana. Every piece is real wood and hand-poured resin, cut, poured, cured, finished and packed in our own shop. Customers bring it up on their own; one review ends, "Great things come out of Elkhart, Indiana."
What actually arrives in the box?
The exact piece from the photo you ordered, a packing slip with a handwritten, signed thank you, and a reusable Braverly bag. As one owner put it, "The bag from Braverly was an unexpected and very useful surprise, so grateful!"
Is each piece really one of a kind?
Yes. Wood grain and a hand pour never land the same way twice, so every design exists exactly once. The photo you shop is the actual piece you receive, and after it sells, that design never returns. One iPhone 15 owner: "I also love that it’s made in the USA by a small company and it’s 1 of one."
Is it gift-ready out of the box?
It arrives the way you would want a gift to arrive: a one-of-a-kind piece, a handwritten thank you, and a reusable Braverly bag, all from a small Indiana shop. One five-star review reads, in full, "This was a perfect personalized gift." If a phone case is the wrong fit, wallets, knives, chargers and bracelets are made the same way in the same shop.
